‘there is so much interesting on a computer’ or
‘Dad, when will you buy me a computer?’ What is a
computer? I’ve got a girlfriend who was sure that computer is
the screen with pictures on. Here is some advice that will help you not
to get in trouble choosing your computer as she had. A personal
computer consists of a number of physical components called computer hardware,
upon which operating system and a multitude of computer software is
installed.
Usual PC consists of a case of tower shape and the following computer
hardware parts:
The motherboard is the main computer component inside the case that
connects the rest of the computer parts. The following computer
hardware parts are directly connected to the motherboard:
Central processing unit (CPU) where most of the calculations needed for
the computer to function are performed.
The chip set that works as a mediator between the CPU and other
hardware, including main storage devices, including Random Access
Memory – RAM, where all running processes and running OS are
stored.
Basic input output system – BIOS, the first code run by a
computer that identifies, tests and initializes system input and output
devices such as video display cards, hard disc, floppy or flash card;
storage devices and other hardware. These are the parts that make base
of what is to become your computer. If you are going to look for some
cheap computer part, don’t save many on the parts above. You
can save subject to your needs on y removable media devices such as
different CD, DVD and Blu-Ray devices, sound and video cards and
